Song-Story: "The Krazees" by Sam Swope
2. This song-story is about: Stuck inside on a rainy day, Iggie can't help getting a bad case of the crazies. But when they come to life, look out! Suddenly she is overswept by the Krazees--mad, manic creatures who stir her into a mess-making frenzy--"plipple, plop bim bango!"--before they vanish--"poof!"--just as the rain stops and the sun pokes its way out of the clouds. |

Gr. K-5 Activity4. Let's learn more about the author and the
story-song! * Sam Swope is an author of children's books who lives in New York. * Sam likes to write books with many rhyming words. He also likes to use "made up" words in his stories. He is trying to make children use their imaginations to try to figure out what the words mean and how they fit into the action of the story. * The "made-up" words and illustrations in this story really describe the situations and monsters in such a way that they really come to life!
