* Neil Sedaka wrote and sang this song-story, but it wasn't the first "way" that he wrote it! * In 1962, Neil released this as a song called, "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do." It was a fast up-beat tune and it reached #1 and topped the charts! (Click on button below to watch & listen.) * In 1975, Neil decided to CHANGE the song. He slowed it down so that it was more like a ballad. He released it as a song again, and it once again reached #1 to top the charts!! (Click on button below to watch and listen.)
* This was the first time in history that the same song was recorded in two different ways by the same musician, and they both reached #1 on the charts!
* Now in 2009, Neil changed the song AGAIN...and made it into a children's Song-Story! |
